I am using three different decks for this week’s reading. First card is FEATURING A DEFECT – There is a picture of a wooden vase on the front so the message speaks of this. A vase made from yew has an elongated heart shaped feature which makes it more interesting and adds to its value. Initially this appeared as a defect and could easily have resulted in it being discarded. By carefully incorporating the defect into the overall design of the vase it was used to good effect. If a drop of ink is put into a glass of water the entire picture becomes clouded. The rejection of, or trying to hide, any one aspect of ourselves can spoil our entire self-image and result in complete self-rejection. On the other hand by accepting the seemingly unacceptable everything is saved and the defect is transformed into a valuable feature *What aspects of myself would I most like to change? *What do I find hardest to accept about myself? *What change for the better would it make in my life if I were to accept the most unacceptable part of myself? Leave aside your perfect offering, There’s a crack in everything, That’s where the light comes in- Leonard Cohen. This card is from the Wood You Believe deck (ancestral healing deck) by Fr Jim Cogley in Ireland.
GENTLE GARDENER – Be your own person, be a conscious co- creator. The Gentle Gardener is visiting you at this moment in your life to remind you that your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs create the reality you experience. She is the embodiment of the energy within you that is sent out into the field of co-creation and ensures that all that you are is reflected in the world of form. Are you aware of your thoughts? What is their quality? Believe in limitless possibility and you will see miracles unfold. The Gentle Gardener guarantees the integrity of everything you send out into the world. Stay positive and expect a wondrous return. Your garden is abundant with beauty.
This is from Colette Baron Reid’s deck – Enchanted Map. I feel that the reversed meaning needs to be posted too, just as a reminder of maybe where we have been or of past patterns possibly creeping in again. Either way, be gentle with yourself and celebrate your achievements so far.
Do you harbour resentments? How often do you reinforce negativity by affirming lack and limitation? Every time you send out a desire for something but secretly harbour a belief that you’re undeserving of it, you plant weeds in the field of your dreams. When the Gentle Gardener appears in the reversed position, she reminds you to be aware of any negative thoughts or selfish motives. She encourages you to step back and pay close attention to what thought-seeds you send out into the world. Weeds choke the life out of your beautiful garden. No need to fret, however, because once you recognize this, you can always remove a bad seed and replace it with a healthy one. Forgiveness is your most powerful restorative tool.
And finally from Diana Cooper’s Angel of Light deck we get – ARCHANGEL JOPHIEL which is just perfect after the first two thought provoking messages. Archangel Jophiel works on the golden ray, drawing wisdom from Source. Ask him to illuminate you and help you to connect with your own deep knowing. He will also help you to learn and absorb information. So if you are studying or involved in any form of education, divine assistance is available to you now. Call on Archangel Jophiel for direction and strength. He will help you to remove negativity and become open minded, clear and wise. The angels remind you it is time for you to wear the golden cloak of wisdom, so visualize yourself surrounded in gold light and be wise. Affirmation – I connect with my inner wisdom.
Archangel Jophiel is also the beautifying angel, helping you beautify your thoughts and your life.
